Solo Skiff Fishing California Halibut March 2020

I launched my Solo Skiff from Ski Beach in Mission Bay San Diego California and used my Mercury 6 horsepower outboard motor to go rockfishing out front of Ocean Beach, California. Using a Shimano Tranx 00 well on a phoenix M1 inshore rod I dropped to the bottom a 130 gram glow in the dark squid Simano flat fall lure with a whole frozen dead squid on one hook and a hole frozen dead shrimp on the other hook. After landing a large Calico and a couple of rockfish a got bit by a nice 25lb California Halibut. I knew I only had one shot at gaffing so I waited and stunned the Halibut just long enough to clip off and secure. I am so blessed . Thank you all
