It all started on August 29, 2018 when PewDiePie uploaded a video titled "THIS CHANNEL WILL OVERTAKE PEWDIEPIE!". T-Series was originally expected to pass him in October 2018, but with the help of the Youtube community, it took almost six extra months for T-Series to pass PewDiePie one final time. Before PewDiePie ended the "Subscribe to PewDiePie" movement on April 28, the main goal was to be the first channel to 100 million subscribers. T-Series has officially reached that milestone.
