From towering mountains to pebbles along a river, the Earth is made of a huge variety of rocks. In today's episode, we're going to follow the rock cycle of a piece of granite in the Himalayan mountains, and as you'll see, every rock has a far-reaching story to tell often millions of years in the making.

@TheGFeatherمنذ 3 سنواتAn excellent video as always. I hate to be the one to ask such a silly, superficial question, but what are the patterns on your shirt? @lsamaknightمنذ 3 سنواتThat was some nice gneiss /ancient geology humour
@
@catfishmudflapمنذ 2 سنواتShouldn't you say the "crust" is rock, not rocks. What people call rocks are generally stones, which are classified as boulders (large stones), id="hidden18" class="buttons"> stones (of particular size), and pebbles (small stones). I am aware that in the vernacular there is no difference, and everything is rocks. However, in geology they are differentiated. Stones are formed from rock as a result of mechanical or chemical weathering. ....وسعت
