@teragram38crows49منذ 4 سنوات The Slit-Mouth Woman is one of my favorite stories. There are ways you can escape her unharmed. One way is if she ask you if she's pretty, just tell id="hidden1" class="buttons"> her you're busy. Thanks to Japanese etiquette, she'll have no choice but to let you go. She may be a monster but she still has manners. ....وسعت 169

I"m glad that Kuchisake- Onna made the list. I heard about her in a monster book once, she sounds so grisly, yet seems like she often goes overlooked on lists like this.

@pixelberry8054منذ 4 سنوات When I heard about the Dziwożona replacing children with 'Changelings' or even shapeshift themselves to seduce men, I think any remaining fan of My Little Pony can agree that a certain "Creepy bug queen" meets all the marks for that. Guess saying Dziwożona in a little kids show was too complicated or might upset the Karens that know of the satanic creature.
Edit to add: I can't really take the Lamia and Harpy seriously cause of a certain harem manga/anime. Don't know if there are more of the monsters on the list, but I do hope they use some footage of the more lighthearted side of those mythical creatures.

@daniellemusella1594منذ 4 سنوات Medusa had such a tragic backstory. She tried to run away from Poseidon's advances, but he chased her down and raped her inside the temple where she id="hidden15" class="buttons"> served as a priestess. Athena, the patron goddess of that temple, blamed Medusa for what happened instead of Poseidon. It's kind of a reflection of what often happens with modern rape cases. Turning Medusa into a gorgon was Athena's way of punishing her, making sure no man would ever look on her with lust again. ....وسعت 9

@ReicantheJesterمنذ 3 سنوات tbf, Medusa is more of a tragic story and asshole greek gods than a mean monster so if you are planning to stop something like the kraken, a beast supposedly id="hidden19" class="buttons"> controlled by greek gods.. well, you might as well put on a blindfold and ask for her assistance and she just might give it just to stick it to the gods that transformed her into what she is.
Also, I would love to see a top 20 beneficial or good female creatures from myths and legends.
as example, kitsunes(though they can be both good as well as bad depending on the scenario). Although they can be tricksters, occasionally mean spirited and most often to be pranksters, they are tied to a Shinto deity and there are also tales of them helping people like Inari Ōkami and its fox spirits help the blacksmith Munechika forge the blade Kogitsune-maru.

@hereschicaمنذ 4 سنوات I have some interesting facts about Medusa that may interest people!
Fact 1: She was not always a gorgon. She was in fact a normal human lady who id="hidden30" class="buttons"> was very, very beautiful.
Fact 2: Medusa had so many guys who had fell in love for her with her beauty. However, she refused their
love for her as Medusa had taken a vow to be a Priestess to Athena and Medusa still has her V-Card to
    boot.
Fact 3: Medusa only became a gorgon was because of Poseidon & Athena. There are a few versions of
this part of the story. One being that, one day Medusa was on her way to the temple of Athena when a
certain god of the sea had pop his head out the water and saw her. Poseidon fell for her beauty and was
planning to "bed her" but she refused him like all the other guys. Poseidon was not happy about that, so
he "forced himself" on the poor Medusa.
As Medusa had try to escape. Athena saw Medusa and Poseidon together and instead of hearing both
sides of the story, Athena placed a curse on Medusa turning her into a Gorgon. Athena did not do any
-thing to Poseidon because not only he was one of the three strongest Greek gods, he was the brother
to the king of the gods so there was not much she can do about that.
