The hall of fame was started with an initial set of fifty-five (55) inductees. Since then, players have been added every year. As of 2019, there is a total of ninety (90) players in the hall of fame including eight (8) women players. England leads the pack with 28 players, followed by Australia and West Indies with 26 and 18 inductees respectively. India occupies the fourth place with six cricketers. Pakistan has five players. New Zealand and South Africa have three players each, while Sri Lanka has managed to send one player to the hall of fame.
