THE FINALE Sheltowee Trace Thru-Hike Part 8 - Finishing the Trace // 343 Mile Unsupported FKT

In the final episode of this 8 part FKT series I finish the Sheltowee Trace and finally get some much needed rest and relaxation. The final half of this episode takes place back in the comforts of home for some post trip wrap up, a dedication and thanking several individuals who were instrumental in helping me. Part 5 /watch/YiUtXR23OLZ3t Part 6 /watch/s2=t&E5dPmEUP0lcPt Part 7 /watch/4SmY0OjzzY_zY On this Unsupported FKT I used my Zpacks Duplex and Nemo Switchback pad with a UGQ quilt all carried with a Lite AF Curve 40L backpack. This sleep system is a bit lighter and smaller than my Dream Hammock Raven, Hammock Gear DCF tarp and Nemo Tensor pad. For shoes I wore the Altra Olympus 4.0’s with Darn Tough and Injinji socks and Dirty Girl Gators. My trekking poles were Fizan Compact 3 aluminum poles. For navigation and verification I used Gaia on my iphone 8, carried my Garmin Inreach mini and wore a Corus Apex watch.
