The Restaurant Canada show had it’s first ever virtual trade show that took place from February 28th to March 4th of 2021… and this year, I was given a back stage pass to check out the virtual show and provide fptv fans a first hand account of what it was all about. Now of course, you can’t necessarily shrink down 4 days worth of intense content in to 5 or 8 minutes, so that’s why we’re broken the RC Show in to 6 parts to give you digestible pieces… as my favourite author Zig Ziglar always used to say…. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time… So folks here’s the rundown of what we’ll be covering of the next 6 weeks: 1. RC SHOW TOUR – how it worked on and off screen. 2. FPTV’s TOP 5 Exhibitors… 3. The RC SHOW SPEAKERS CORNER - highlighting top content that we had a chance to drop in on 4. RC SHOW SPECIAL INTERVIEWS that we had one-on-one time with 5. RC SHOW TOTAL RECAP – of this jam packed event… This is my first time I’ve participated in a virtual trade show, and so it was like having a new app on your phone.. when you go in to it, you just want to press on everything to see what it does, it’s not like you can break it … raight?? #RCShow2021 #RBIbrands #YUMBrands Nivera’s advice was very relevant and ever green… and here’s what she had to say. Change is constant, and it is moving at a fast pace. There is opportunity for growth and development. Post COVID-19, she is a huge optimist for the future as restaurants have been, and will continue to be part of special moments and part of lives. Her highlight takeaways were : 1. Be relevant 2. Guest Expectations 3. Evolve and be authentic 4. Be Easy – convenience from a guest perspective 5. Ease for your team members 6. Find ways to be distinctive, and be purposeful and lean in to it.
