@FloChinyereمنذ 11 سنوات Great plan of how to use this drink you've got there! That's exactly the point of this method; to preserve the natural taste of the Zobo as much id="hidden2" class="buttons"> as possible. The ginger and garlic helps with the body wash out. I tasted one prepared with artificial flavours and did not like it so much because the sugars clashed with the sour zobo taste and my taste buds rejected it! lol. ....وسعت

@mairbear100منذ 12 سنوات When my mother does it, she usually leave the pineapple and the leaves in it for about one or two days before straining it. She also doesn't add ginger and garlic, but is it a must? 1

@MaryAustinupمنذ 6 سنوات How long will this stay good in the refrigerator.I used coves instead of garlic. 1

@FloChinyereمنذ 11 سنوات I'm glad yo brought the leaves because now you can make them! :))) As you noted, my take on it is not delicious, it is tangy/sour kind of because that's id="hidden6" class="buttons"> how I like it. Some people add sugar and other artificial flavours to give it a sweet taste. Enjoy! ....وسعت

@FloChinyereمنذ 12 سنوات I'm glad you love the videos :) If you live in the London area try Ridley Road market, Dalston. That market is little Naija so you may be lucky to find them there.

@FloChinyereمنذ 12 سنوات Zobo is known to have cleansing properties. It has a sour/biting taste like lemon. For me, sweeteners tend to clash with its sour taste so I have learnt id="hidden10" class="buttons"> to leave it alone in that area. :) But this is a matter of personal preference. ....وسعت

@ifeyminajمنذ 11 سنوات Could you use blackcurrent instead of zobo leaves
  • @
@myrrdynمنذ 12 سنوات Wow, here in Italy it's usually used pure, just the leaves in infusion. It was somewhat more popular ~50 years ago but you can easily find it (called hibiscus or karkadè).

@FloChinyereمنذ 12 سنوات I prepare my Zobo purely as a herbal drink that's why I add ginger and garlic for their "healing" properties but you can skip them if you id="hidden12" class="buttons"> want. I'm sure your Mum has good reasons for leaving them to soak 1 - 2 days before straining. If I can strain and wringe it when it is still hot, I would because I believe that's when all the juice in the pineapple and the Zobo petals will come out :) ....وسعت

@FloChinyereمنذ 12 سنوات Garlic and ginger boosts the cleansing properties of Zobo. I usually feel good after a "Zobo" treatment lol
  • @
@FloChinyereمنذ 12 سنوات Pineapple goes really well with Zobo because it does not clash with its sour taste. No I don't add sugar because I prefer its sour/biting natural taste :) You're welcome.
  • @
@bloom1212منذ 11 سنوات The English name is hibiscus.can you reuse the flower again if u let it dry or do u just throw them away?
  • @
@ChisomAdaoraمنذ 11 سنوات What is the name of the zobo leaf in English? By the way thank you so much for the channel. You're a blessing :)

@FloChinyereمنذ 11 سنوات It is very much real Seun, unless you were thinking of Zorro! :)))
  • @
@kenpraise5110منذ 4 سنوات Pls can I make this zobo drink without artificial flavour or sugar
  • @
@TheMixicologistمنذ 12 سنوات Wow, I've never put garlic in my Sorrel.
  • @
@FloChinyereمنذ 12 سنوات No, mine is not spicy because the quantity of ginger I added is not enough to make it so. Zobo has a sour/biting taste and without sugars/artificail flavours, it is not sweet at all. :)

@albertmutunga2265منذ 7 سنوات There are several components to creating an amazing wine. One place I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Pavas grape plan (google it if you're id="hidden15" class="buttons"> interested) definately the most incredible info that I've heard of. Check out this amazing resource. ....وسعت

@FloChinyereمنذ 11 سنوات I wouldn't because all the juice has been extracted. Any further attempt to milk it will give tasteless results.
  • @
@FloChinyereمنذ 11 سنوات Zobo on its own is not interesting at all. So you need to add some fruit which pineapple is the best (IMO) or some artificial juice flavour.
