When I called back, the next agent told me the first agent was mistaken, she was so sorry, blah blah, but it HAS to be unblocked at the store it was blocked at. Which store is that? "We can't see that information from here." Riiiight. What a waste of my time and money. I call bullcrap on all of these companies. It's unfair that the laws have made it easy for phone carriers to block a phone that's been sold and, unbeknownst to us buyers, is worthless. I'm not getting into a contract and paying $500 or more DOWN on a phone that is worth $200 on Amazon within a year or two. The majority of the time someone runs across this problem isn’t because they bought a cell phone from a pawn shop that hasn’t been paid off, (it’s really unlikely for a pawn shop to buy a phone that has a blocked imei number because once your report it stolen with the police they can potentially get their business shut down for unlawful practice) it’s because they either stole the phone, sold it and the person that bought the phone is shit out of luck or the person who stole the phone is wanting to use it. My I phone xr got stolen the other day and I called t mobile asking them to block my imei number, which they said they would, and here you have someone explaining to the world how to override this being done.
