@civiladvantageمنذ 9 سنوات Thanks for the support Canadian Prepper!!! Very much appreciated. I'm looking forward to working together soon! 69

@panpiperمنذ 9 سنوات I'm a Canadian who has never fired a gun in his life. I am far more afraid of the guns in the hands of the state than I am of guns in the hands of id="hidden2" class="buttons"> private individuals. An individual you can deal with. A state choosing to use the power of the gun however, is Orwellian, and there is nothing individuals can do about it short of acquiescence or death. ....وسعت 62

@davida9845منذ 9 سنوات Good luck with the CCFR! I'm glad you guy's in Canada that want to restore some human right's to protect yourselves have such a wonderful organization id="hidden3" class="buttons"> to work with you. I really believe that education of people to responsible gun ownership is the way to go, it's surprising how many people once exposed to firearm's, are really interested in owning and shooting gun's.I personally have taken some people to the firing range for the first time, and they loved it. Shouting and yelling does little to help.We here in the U.S.A. are coming under a tremendous amount of pressure on our gun ownership, so thank goodness for the N.R.A. they do a tremendous job of preserving our gun right's, sure hope you guy's get the right to at least conceal carry since thing's are getting so bad every where. ....وسعت 5

@benterwellenمنذ 9 سنوات Canadians have the right to protect themselves, the police and military will be protecting themselves first. 11
  • @
@llunaticravenمنذ 9 سنوات Yes you really have to fight for those rights. Here in the US the last few years I have seen the question ""do you own or have firearms in your id="hidden6" class="buttons"> home?"" on my questionaire at my doctors office. It turned up about three years ago for the first time. Now we have cdc and others trying to get the ban for researching gun violence as a public health issue lifted (guess it was banned back in 70's), can't help but think this is a step to getting firearms taken from us. Thanks for your work and videos!! ....وسعت 2

@cyclopstriceratops6034منذ 9 سنوات Until my late 20's, I never understood why someone would need or want a gun, other than hunting (and I've always been fairly prepardness minded). id="hidden7" class="buttons"> After Hurricane Sandy hit the New Jersey community I live in during 2012, I finally grasped how important citizen gun ownership really is. @leyenda6149منذ 4 سنوات CP, can you do a segment on the importance of having personal firearms as a means of defense in a SHTF scenario? Do all preppers have/value owning firearms? id="hidden9" class="buttons"> Prepping without being able to defend your family and the things you've prepped for seems pointless. @ComicCommandoمنذ 8 سنوات I enjoy the channel and had no idea how restrictive the laws are there in Canada. As a disabled individual that cannot use a shotgun or rifle I would be id="hidden10" class="buttons"> restricted even owning a handgun or pistol for self defense. I can't believe the right to defend yourself with a gun has been taken away there. Eye opening and at the same time scary what could happen here in the US. ....وسعت 2

Problem solving 101: Remove emotion and past biases good/bad, present id="hidden11" class="buttons"> findings on fact and actual current data. The root cause of people's fear about guns is lack of info and misinformation. Take a friend to the range and get them excited about the reality of shooting and responsible ownership. Most importantly promote the hell out of safety. Spread the word about the CCFR! ....وسعت 1

@marcorubio2962منذ 9 سنوات Firearms-related crime is not even really a problem in Canada, and with what little crime we do have, from what I can tell the situation has been improving id="hidden13" class="buttons"> under the current laws. The Liberal government is really making a mountain out of a mole-hill by treating firearms as an epidemic, and law-abiding firearms owners as if they are terrorists.
Great video CP. I'll consider getting a membership, seeing as the CFA has really gone down the tubes as of late.

@Spinal2111منذ 8 سنوات Technically speaking there is a carry permit called an ATC, like what armed guards have, such as Brinks. Though the chances of getting one are less than winning the lottery, twice.

@elkhunter8664منذ 9 سنوات Gun registration is a big one to me. Ask how that worked for the Australians in 1996. Don't know your laws, but simply don't comply. In Connecticut, id="hidden15" class="buttons"> after sandy hook, legislation was passed for mandatory registration of all AK/AR rifles. 85% of owners chose not to comply. What is the state going to do? Go door to door looking for them? Oh, by the way, they would need a search warrant signed by a judge to do that. 300,30 thousand is the gestimate of people who are now felons in this state. And we have 49 others they have to contend with. In the US when an illegal law is passed we tend to ignore it. Keep up the fight for your rights. ....وسعت 4

@Kman31caمنذ 8 سنوات Right on! A good thing I try to do and find works. If you find an anti gunner. Try,lol to be polite and just ask them to come to the range sometime. You id="hidden16" class="buttons"> wouldn't believe how fast they can change there minds. Once they see how serious everyone is about safety, and just the thrill they get after getting a decent group they almost change their minds instantly. A friend of mine who was seriously anti gun, took her out to the range in early spring. Totally changed her mind. Is in the process of getting her PAL, and wants to go out shooting all the time.lol Right on, good job. This is a free country, let's not let them take our sport from us! ....وسعت 1

@AndrewAttard78منذ 9 سنوات I'm interested to see how this works out for Canada that you are trying to expand your gun rights. Here in the US there is a constant battle to protect id="hidden17" class="buttons"> our rights from being taken away. I assume it is much harder to get them back once they are gone. Of course your politicians don't seem nearly as corrupted as ours. ....وسعت 1

@ajtaylor560منذ 9 سنوات What we need is to have a single strong voice for shooters in Canada. The NFA have been pussies for years and ripe with controversy. The CSSA never got id="hidden19" class="buttons"> outside of the east, virtually never heard of it on the prairies. So now we have the CCFR and believe me I will be a supporter but 3 organizations all doing the same thing??? If you look at the Coalition for Gun Control they have no membership, Just Wendy Cukier in Toronto. Try to join you can't, you can donate money but there is no membership. Why? I think it's because they represent all the other anti-gun groups and make all the headlines and are the first place the CBC goes to get told the lies they so often spread. Seriously the Canadian media is so wrapped up with the anti-gun lobby it's almost impossible to fight them. Hope this works, hope it takes off like a tornado, hope it rallies the troops, hope the politicians see the evidence but you know the CBC will never ever take our side. ....وسعت 7

@Recceman901منذ 8 سنوات As a former Canadian, now American; I agree with the philosophy of non-partisan politicking, all that does is alienate some potential supporters of gun id="hidden20" class="buttons"> rights. And also puts everyone on the defensive. Please do your best to police that, I know for myself it is difficult not to apply politics.given the fact that the Progressive movement is the enemy, not Liberals. A true Liberal is a live and let live mindset, as is a true conservative. ....وسعت 1

@jamesranger6283منذ 4 سنوات Great vid love the CCFR, However I do not agree with open or concealed carry in Canada. I do agree with some circumstances where carrying a side arm would id="hidden21" class="buttons"> be beneficial, such as in bear country, hunters, forestry and security workers. Not for general carry purposes in a public setting. brandishing a firearm in a public place should remain an offence. ....وسعت

@Pppppppp718منذ 9 سنوات I have a ccfr membership, however I just wanted to let you know we are aloud to use firearms for self defence within our own home if you feel your life is in danger.
  • @
@nikoals777منذ 9 سنوات Sorry but i'm not comfortable with the Firearms being a human right.
You could consider it as part of "everyone life, liberty and security of person " fine.
Gun possession isn't human right, as car possession or coffee possession aren't.
In my opinion, feel safer knowing that no one has a gun, than having to carry one to ensure my safety. Of course it's based on trust in others. I feel if I had to carry ( even more to open carry) a weapon, I would just be a threat to someone with bad intentions and I would be it's first target.
Living here in Quebec where restricted guns are at lowest, I've never been threatened once with a weapon. Only with words and fists. Neither got robbed.
I know you don't want to get too politically involved about this. But since possession is legal in most reasonable cases. (I agree with the restriction in capability instead of looks)
As a prepper, should WROL situation happened, your hunting gun would do to keep you alive. For that reason, I would like to get a hunting weapons, or at least get some training with it. But for me, the current firearms laws in normal days are mostly good. They are protecting people, not allowing people to protect themselves and they are fulfilling the human right "security of person".
I know my opinion is not shared a lot in the prepper community. I don't have anything against gun in itself. I just feel as not everyone should drive a car, and as cars are highly regulated, guns should be too. Even coffee is regulated no one is against that! Btw (coffee really is regulated, eg.: Food & drugs regulation: must have more than 10% fat and less than 6% ash ;-) )
    - - Here ends my comment as I wrote it before I watched civil advantage legal truth video series - - - -
I was about to send my comment and I thought, wait I dont get the whole picture here.
So I watched the civil advantage videos, now I understand that :
-Guns Classification NEEDS to be fixed. And so by gun experts, not aunties looking pictures (sorry to aunties)
    - Gun licenses are a pain in the ass and criminal charges are way too hard on "administrative" offenses ( You forget your paperwork, they could just take/confiscate temporarily you gun, not sending you to jail)
    - The system is a hassle to honest citizen ( what's new?)
    I am Not convinced that
    - more guns equals less crime.
    - Constant monitoring of criminal record of firearms holder is a bad thing, maybe they should do it for other offenders.
    - Possession for self defense purpose only. Self defense, means guns are purchased intentionally to use against people (possibly criminal yeah) yet, it's a blurry line I don't want to get close of.
    - Gun availability is a solution to problems. Social work, communication, compromise, empathy, altruism and open mind can solve social problems, guns can only "prevent" from it's effects. (maybe Canadian Prepper could do a video about that too)
    I still don't understand:
    - If you shoot for sport why do you need a tactical/military looking gun?
    - What is the problem with gun registration?
    - Why is it we value so much gun possession in itself? Car possession too. Is it only a way to feel powerful?
    - Why I put 3 hours in commenting this video and digging the question?
    .
