METHOD
1.Heat oil - 2 tablespoon
To it add
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Garlic cloves - 4
Diced green chilies - 5
Diced onion - big sized
Saute them and add
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon and saute till raw smell disappears
2.Lower the flame and add
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Add little water and saute
3.Now add diced tomatoes - 2 big sized
and saute till they turn smooth
4.Add spinach - 6 bunches and Fenugreek leaves - 10 gram cook them for few minutes
5.Now add split pigeon peas - 150 gram which was soaked in water for 30 minutes
6.Mix it well add water and pressure cook it till lenthils turn soft
7.To the dal add salt and lemon juice - 1 teaspoon also mash it if required
8.For tempering we need
Clarified butter - 1 tablespoon heat it and add
Sliced onion - 1/2
Crushed garlic cloves - 4
Few curry leaves
Dried red chilies - 4
Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Switch off flame and add coriander leaves
9.Add the tempering to dal
10.Serve hot with rice
